For the 2007-08 grant year, claimants with grants in excess of $40,000 approved will receive two payments. The first for
$40,000 within a few days of Austrade issuing their Notice of Determination of Grant (NOD) and the second in late June
2009 for the balance. However, the second payment is subject to the availability of funds remaining after all other
accessed claims have been paid, 100% for approved claims up to $40,000 and $40,000 for approved claims exceeding
this amount.

In June 2008 claimants received just 24.42% of the balance of their entitlement for the 2006-07 grant year, although for
them the initial payout was set at $70,000. Claimants entitled to the maximum of $150,000 received a total (two
payments) totalling $89,533 or just 59.69% of the grant approved.

This claim year the maximum first payment of $40,000 means that an estimated 1,500 claimants will be entitled to a
second payment and all things being equal the final payout should be a higher percentage than 24.42%. However, it is
extremely unlikely that the second payment will be 100% of the due entitlement and early estimates show that this figure
would be 50-55% representing an overall 67% grant payment.

Claimants with approved grants of $40,000 or less will continue to receive 100% of their grant payment within days of
receiving Austrade's NOD.
